1.15" Harpid Trilobite From Jorf - Rare At Location
This is a 1.15" Harpes perradiatus from Jorf near Erfoud, Morocco. These are pretty rare trilobites at this location. The body has been pushed up slightly under the headshield but is present. There is about 5% shell restoration, most of it being in a patch on the edge of the head shield near the edge of the rock.
The rock here is very chert-like with a glassy appearance. The shell is translucent so the trilobites tend to take on the coloration of the underlying rock, leading to very uniquely preserved specimens.
