1.15" Wide, Thaleops Trilobite - Wisconsin

This is a rarely seen trilobite from the Platteville Formation of Wisconsin. It is a nice Thaleops ovata measuring 1.15" wide. It is quite 3D and has great shell preservation. The right cheek and genal spine have been restored.

The Platteville Formation is rarely collected and complete trilobites are very tough to find. Our digging partner who has a leased quarry on this formation has only found a handful of nice trilobites in the past two years for the locality.
