This is a 1.48" late Cretaceous aged fossil skull bone of a marine turtle (Toxochelys sp.). It was found in the Smoky Hill Chalk of the Niobrara Formation in Kansas, a very fossiliferous marine formation. This is a Pubis, one of the bones that makes up the pelvic girdle. There is light wear at the points of contact with neighboring bones, and heavy erosion towards the proximal end.
