1.95" Ordovician Cephalopod (Proteoceras) Fossil - Wisconsin

This is a 1.95" long example of Proteoceras sp.. This fossil is part of an old collection from the Grand Detour Formation in Rock County, Wisconsin. Proteoceras is one of the genera of straight-shelled cephalopods that are found in this formation along side Actinoceras and Gonioceras. This specimen has been exposed from the rock it was found in.
