1.96" Chubutensis Tooth - Megalodon Ancestor
This is a 1.96" long fossil shark tooth collected off the South Carolina coast. Some people might consider it Carcharocles chubutensis, or a very early/transitional Megalodon tooth due to the presence of small cusps in the corners. Although there is feeding damage to the tip, the tooth is in overall good shape, and has some serrations.
