13.5" Fossil Marlin (Swordfish) Rostrum - Miocene
This is a fossilized, upper rostrum (bill) of a Miocene aged Marlin (Swordfish). It was found in South Carolina while hunting for Megalodon teeth. It would have come out of the Hawthorn Formation and the species would most likely have been Makaira calvertensis. It's very solid and 13.5 inches in length.
