2.3" Asaphus Plautini Trilobite - Russia

This is a 2.3" long, prone specimen in Asaphus plautini, one of the scarcer of the many species of Asaphid trilobites found near St. Petersburg, Russia. It was found at the Vilpovitsy quarry and is Lower Ordovician in age, or approximately 460 million years old.

There is about 10% shell restoration on this trilobite, along fractures and the edge of the tail.
