Ordovician Crinoid Fossils - Kaid Rami, Morocco

These are nicely preserved Ordovician aged crinoid fossils from the Kataoua formation of Morocco. The largest crinoid is 2" long, nicely detailed and shares a 5.6x3.1" piece of limestone rock with at least 3 additional, smaller crinoids. The bright orange coloration is due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. There are two repaired cracks through this matrix, each of which is located on what could be considered corners of the limestone.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
