3.4" Hildoceras bifrons Ammonite - England

This is a large 3.4" British Hildoceras bifrons ammonite from Whitby, England. These well preserved ammonites are Jurassic in age and are found in hard concretions that must be split open to reveal the fossil. This has a stand cut out of the concretion which allows this ammonite to display nicely anywhere.
