3.7" Fossil Leaf (Pseudosalix) - Green River Formation, Utah

This is an Eocene aged fossil leaf of Pseudosalix handleyi, a flowering plant placed in the family Salicaceae. The leaf is 3.7" long and on a piece of shale. It is nicely preserved with crisp edges and a nice light brown color.

It comes from the Green River Formation in Uintah County, Utah. While this formation is best known for well-preserved fossil fish found in Wyoming, other sections of the formation contain very diverse flora and insect fauna.

Comes with an acrylic display stand.
