.8" Detailed Fossil March Fly (Plecia) - Wyoming

This is a fossil "March Fly", Plecia pealei from the Eocene aged Green River Formation in Wyoming. It's .8" wide and shows quite a bit of detail under magnification. While the Green River Formation is best know for its fish fossils, other areas produce incredible plant fossils and insect fauna.
