9" Wide Ordovician Brittle Star (Ophiura) Multiple Plate - Morocco

This is a 9" wide plate containing four complete fossil brittlestars plus a couple partials. The brittlestars are of the genus Ophiura and come from the the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite. The brittlestars average about 3" wide and there is another complete brittlestar on the back of the rock.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
