"Devil Horned" Cyphaspis Walteri Trilobite - 1.15"

Here is nice example of the Devonian trilobite Cyphaspis walteri sometimes referred to as the "Devil Horn" Cyphaspis for obvious reasons. The spines are natural and it's been nicely prepared with all of the spines free standing. This is a nicely presented example of this spiny Moroccan Otarionidae trilobite. There is a small patch of shell restoration on the back, left edge of the tail.

This species was finally formally described in 2014. A link to the paper can be found below.
