Fossil Nyssidium Seed Pods From Montana - Paleocene

This is a cool fossil of seed pods from Nyssidium arcticum. It was collected in the the Fort Union Formation near Glendive, Montana. It's Paleocene in age or about 60 million years old. Sycamore trees produce spiky balls (fruit) full of seeds.
