Two Ordovician Brittle Stars (Ophiura) - Morocco

This is a pair of large, fossil brittle stars (Ophiura) from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. They are Ordovician in age, approximately 450 million years old. The orange coloration is natural and due to the oxidization of iron pyrite.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
