Very 3D Agaricocrinus Crinoid - Indiana

This is a very 3D, Agaricocrinus splendens crinoid from the famous Witherspoon Quarry near Crawfordsville, Indiana. It's 2.65" long and located on a 5.1x3.9" piece of limestone. It has been meticulously cleaned under microscope using air abrasives.

It is believed that crinoids from the Ramp Creek Limestone were buried in sediment from nearby deltas during storms. The resulting siltstone deposits are soft enough that fossils can be extracted in exquisite, three-dimensional relief.
