We just launched our new wholesale areas. Check out the wholesale fossils, minerals & crystals section for more listings. Very little of the wholesale inventory that we currently have in stock is listed on the website. If there is something specific you are looking for, or if you are looking to purchase different quantities, please contact us at wholesale@fossilera.com or (866) 550-2013
This is a wholesale lot of 7 cut base, polished carnelian agates. The color of carnelian can vary greatly, ranging from pale orange to an intense red coloration.

The pieces range from 3-4" tall and the bases of them have been cut flat so that stand up nicely on a flat surface.

At the wholesale price, each piece is $10/each and they can retail for more than twice that on average. You will receive the exact lot pictured.

Carnelian is a semi-precious stone consisting of an orange or orange-red variety of chalcedony/agate. It's name is believed to come from the Latin word carneus, meaning 'flesh colored'. The reddish color is due to the presence of iron oxide impurities in the silica which makes up the chalcedony.

Carnelian is one of the oldest known gemstones. It was widely used in ancient Rome to make insignia and seals for imprinting on letters or important documents because hot wax does not stick to carnelian.
