Lot - 60 Otodus Shark Teeth Mounted On Matrix
Typically we just sell retail but over the next week or so we will be making available a number of wholesale lots of inexpensive material for purchase. Please note that these wholesale lots are currently on a pallet being shipped back to our distribution warehouse to shipping maybe delayed for about a week after purchase.
The lot contains 60 fossil shark teeth, primarily of the extinct, giant mackerel shark, Otodus obliquus. Each tooth has been remounted back on a piece of rock from the same locality. They are Eocene in age, approximately 54 million years old and comes from the phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco.

Otodus is an extinct mackerel (Lamniformes) shark that lived during the Eocene, approximately 54 million years ago. This is the same family of sharks that includes the Great White and the largest shark ever known, the Megalodon. These teeth are collected during phosphate mining operations near Khouribga, Morocco. While Otodus teeth are common fossils at these mines, large, good quality specimens are hard to find since they are often destroyed by the mining equipment.
