Beautiful, bowls and dishes made from hand polished Septarian mined in Madagascar. This Septarian was formed during the Jurassic period as concretions (mud balls) which formed underwater. When these concretions became exposed due to the water receding, they dried out and cracked. These cracks and cavities were filled in with minerals such as calcite (yellow) and aragonite (brown) causing beautiful and unique patterns in the stone. Septarian sometimes gets referred to as "Dragon Stone" because these unique patterns.
