1.2" Thomsonite (Zeolite) - Maharashtra, India
This is a beautiful, 1.2" long specimen containing the zeolite thomsonite from the Maharashtra province of India. Thomsonite is one of the rarest zeolites found in the volcanic rocks in the area. The fuzzy balls of thompsonite have a brown-peach coloration with the largest formation measuring 1.2" across. Most of the stilbite crystals are covered by the thompsonite aggregation.
