3.1" Rhodochrosite Stalactite Slice with Pyrite & Galena - Argentina

This is a polished rhodochrosite stalactite slab, collected from the Capillitas Mine in Argentina. The banding of this specimen is beautifully defined and contains wonderful coloring. The intense patterns of the rhodochrosite are enhanced by large pyrite and galena inclusions. The portion of this mine that produced these types of banded rhodochrosite specimens was mined out decades ago.

This specimen comes with an acrylic display stand.
