2.9" Thomsonite (Zeolite) Specimen - India

This is an incredible 2.9" long specimen of the zeolite Thomsonite from the Maharashtra province of India. Thomsonite is one of the rarest zeolites found in the volcanic rocks in the area. The fuzzy balls of Thomsonite have a beautiful peach to red coloration, and are up to 1.1" across.

Various sized tabular stilbite crystals can be found protruding from the surface of the matrix, surrounding the thomsonite crystals that seeingly bulge from the red matrix of the specimen.
