Wholesale Lot: Fossil Crow Shark (Squalicorax) Teeth - 1000 Pieces

This is a wholesale lot of 1,000 authentic, fossil, crow shark (Squalicorax) teeth. They come from the Upper Cretaceous (70 million year old) phosphate deposits near Khourigba, Morocco. These teeth are common fossils in these deposits and are collected by locals as a byproduct of the massive phosphate mining operations in the area.

The teeth average about 1" in length and most are nicely serrated. These wholesale lots are great for resale, gifts or educational purposes.

Squalicorax would have had a body type very similar to todays grey sharks but the teeth most closely resembled that of tiger sharks. It was likely a coastal predator, but there is evidence it was also a scavenger as evidenced by a Squalicorax tooth having been found embedded on the bone of a Hadrosaur. Hadrosaurs were terrestrial dinosaurs, so it likely had died on land and been swept out to see.
