ANALCIME SPECIMENS

Analcime is a white to gray mineral that's classified as a zeolite, but structurally and chemically it is more similar to the feldspathoids. It's a hydrated sodium aluminum silicate found in basic igneous rocks like basalt, where it fills cavities or occurs as veins, often associated with other zeolites. Key features include its vitreous luster, isometric crystal system forming pseudo-cubic trapezohedrons, and weak piezoelectricity, giving it its name from the Greek for "weak".
