Oligoclase is a common mineral that forms rocks like granodiorites and monzonites, and is part of the feldspar group. It's a plagioclase feldspar, which is a series of minerals that includes albite and anorthite. A reddish variety called "sunstone" is used as a gemstone. Additional colors it can display include white, cream, yellow, orange, pink, light blue, light green, brown, or gray depending on impurities.
