PHENAKITE (PHENACITE) FOR SALE

Phenakite (or phenacite) is a relatively rare beryllium silicate mineral that resembles quartz and is used as a collector's mineral or occasionally as a gemstone. Named from the Greek word for "deceiver", it was initially mistaken for quartz due to its similar colorless appearance. However, phenakite is harder and has a higher refractive index, making it much more brilliant. It also exhibits different crystal features like vertical striations compared to quartz's horizontal striations.
