WUPATKIITE SPECIMENS
Wupatkiite is a rare secondary mineral that occurs as a product of oxidation of cobalt, nickel, molybdenum, and uranium primary mineralization. Formations of wupatkiite have only been documented from a few locations, including Arizona (USA), Costa Rica, Russia, and Cyprus. It is named for the Wupatki Indian pueblos, a National Monument near its type locality of Cameron, Arizona.
