1.25" to 2" Wire Wrapped Shark Tooth Pendant - Morocco

These are authentic fossil shark teeth from the Eocene (~54 Million Years) aged phosphate deposits near Khouribga, Morocco. They have been meticulously wire wrapped and made into an authentic fossil necklace! They are almost all of the species Otodus obliquus, a type of extinct giant mackerel shark. Some may be Serratolamna teeth, a genus of another type of extinct mackerel shark.

The photos are representative of the specimen(s) you will receive. The teeth all range between 1 1/4 to 2 inch in length with most falling in the middle of that range. They are mostly complete, though many may have missing tips, chips, or repaired cracks. An ID card will be included for the teeth.

These bulk fossils are great for educational use, or gifts for kids. Quantity discounts are available.

Otodus is an extinct mackerel (Lamniformes) shark that lived during the Eocene, approximately 54 million years ago. This is the same family of sharks that includes the Great White and the largest shark ever known, the Megalodon. These teeth are collected during phosphate mining operations near Khouribga, Morocco. While Otodus teeth are common fossils at these mines, large, good quality specimens are hard to find since they are often destroyed by the mining equipment.
