KONA DOLOMITE FOR SALE
Kona dolomite comes from the Kona Hills in Marquette County, Michigan. It is a Precambrian stromatolitic dolomite, formed by layered microbial mats—likely dominated by cyanobacteria—that trapped sediment and precipitated minerals in ancient shallow seas roughly 2.1 billion years ago. This material occurs in a wide range of colors, including brown, gray, black, orange, peach, pink, red, and yellow, and is commonly seen in mottled, laced, and finely banded stromatolite patterns.
