1.15" Fossil Sand Shark (Odontaspis) Tooth - Lee Creek, NC
This is a nice fossil Sand Shark (Odontaspis cuspidata) tooth. It comes from the Lee Creek Phosphate Mine near Aurora, NC and would be Miocene in age. This mine produces some of the most beautifully colored fossil teeth but unfortunately has been closed to collecting for several years now. This beautiful tiger shark tooth comes in an acrylic display case.
