1.25" Fossil Fruit Catkin (Populus) - France

This is a fossil fruit catkin of Populus zaddachi, collected from the Oligocene-aged deposits of Bois d'Asson, France. The light-brown preservation contrasts nicely against rock. This is part of an old collection that we recently acquired.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
