1.25" Paleocene Fossil Fruit (Hamamelidaceae) - North Dakota

This is a beautiful fossil infructescence (fruit aggregation) of the witch-hazel family Hamamelidaceae, collected from the Sentinel Butte Formation of North Dakota. It is finely detailed and the light preservation contrasts well against the dark orangish-brown rock.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
