1.3" Cretaceous Fossil Jaw Section In Rock - Morocco

This is a 1.3" wide fossil jaw section from phosphate deposits, Khouribga, Morocco. Based on the small teeth present, it's likely a jaw section of the fossil fanged fish, Enchodus sp.

It comes from the phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco. These deposits are mined for phosphate, one of Moroccos biggest exports. The fossils are collected as a byproduct of the mining operations, saving them from certain destruction by the rock crusher.

Comes with an acrylic stand.
