1.48" Mosasaur (Eremiasaurus) Tooth In Matrix

This is a beautifully preserved and quite large tooth of the Mosasaur, Eremiasaurus heterodontus . These teeth are found in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco during phosphate mining operations and are Upper Cretaceous in age. There are several different types of Mosasaurs preserved in these rocks, and this tooth appears to be from Eremiasaurus heterodontus the most common genus. The rock is still embedded in the original rock it was found in.
