1.6" Mosasaurus Tooth - Unusual Species
This is a tooth of one of the rarer species of Mosasaurs found in the phosphate deposits in the Oulad Abdoun Basin of Morocco, Mosasaurus hoffmani. Unlike the common Mosasaurus beaugei where the surface of the tooth is smooth, the teeth of Mosasaurus beaugei are broken up into flat sections.
