1.64" Chubutensis Tooth - Megalodon Ancestor

This is a 1.64" long fossil shark tooth collected in South Carolina. It is from Carcharocles chubutensis an ancestor of the Megalodon shark. It has small cusps at the edge of the tooth which sets it apart. Very nice tooth overall, the teeth are much harder to find than the Megalodon teeth. A tooth of this size would have come from a juvenile.
