Two Cretaceous Brittle Stars (Ophiura) With Gastropods - Texas

This is a 1.75" wide fossil brittle star (Ophiura graysonensis) from the Grayson formation of McLennan County, Texas. It is Cretaceous in age, or approximately 110 million years old. There are a variety of other marine fossil fragments scattered throughout the rock, including two partial echinoids of the species Palhemiaster calvini and a partial brittle star mixed in with one of the echinoids.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
