1.8" Fossil Crab (Macroacaena) Nodule - Oregon

This 3.6" wide nodule contains a spectacular fossil crab of the species Macroacaena schencki, family Raninidae, typically known as a "frog crab" or "spanner crab". This nodule was collected from the Keasey Formation of Vernonia, Oregon, and is Upper Eocene - Lower Oligocene in age. It is part of an old collection we purchased and is the only one we have available.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
