1.86" Chubutensis Tooth - Megalodon Ancestor
This is a 1.86" long fossil shark tooth collected off the South Carolina coast. Some people might consider it Carcharocles chubutensis, or a very early/transitional Megalodon tooth due to the presence of small cusps in the corners. Although there is feeding damage, the tooth is in overall good shape, and has some serrations.
