1.95" Fossil Hackberry (Celtis) Leaf - Insect Predation!

This is a detailed, 1.95" long fossil hackberry (Celtis mccoshii) leaf from the Green River Formation of Uintah County, Utah. A good portion of the leaf was eaten by a bug prior to fossilization. It comes with an acrylic display stand.

While the Green River Formation is best known for its fish fossils from Wyoming, other areas produce incredible plant fossils.
