1" Cretaceous Crab (Dakoticaucer) Fossil - Mississippi

This is a 1" wide fossil crab (Dakoticaucer australis) carapace from Union County, Mississippi. It was found in the Coon Creek Formation, making it approximately 70 million years old. The carapace has been exposed from the sandy marlstone it was found in.
