11" Plate With Fossil Brittle Stars, Carpoids & Corals

This is a 11 x 5.6" slab of limestone from the Upper Ktaoua Formation of Morocco. There are three fossil brittle stars (Ophiura) on it as well as an unidentified carpoid and some pieces of coral. The orange coloration is due to the oxidization of iron pyrite which originally preserved the fossils.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
