12" Slab With Multiple, Large Brittle Star Fossils - Morocco

This is a 12 x 8.5" mortality plate of large, orange fossil brittle stars (Ophiura sp) from the Tiouririne Formation of Morocco. There are five mostly complete individuals with the largest being about 5" across as well as several smaller partials. They are preserved in bright orange limonite due the oxidization of the iron pyrite which originally preserved the fossils. There are a number of repaired cracks running through the stone and it comes with a display stand.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
