14" Plate Of Large Brittle Star Fossils, Carpoid & Crinoids

This is a 14 x 8.6" mortality plate of large, orange fossil brittle stars (Ophiura sp) from the Tiouririne Formation of Morocco. There are three mostly complete brittle stars with the largest being about 5.6" across as well as well as many partial carpoids and crinoid fossils. They are preserved in bright orange limonite due the oxidization of the iron pyrite which originally preserved the fossils.

It comes with an acrylic display stand.
