17.5" Mortality Of Fossil Carpoids, Brittle Stars & Crinoids - Morocco

This is a 22" mortality plate of Ordovician aged, fossil echinoderms from the Kataoua Formation of Morocco. There are twenty one, large carpoids, fourteen brittle stars and sevral crinoids. They have all been preserved in orange, limonite due to the oxidization of iron pyrite that originally preserved the fossils. There are two repaired cracks running through the plate, but no significant restoration.

It comes with a metal display stand, or we can add a backing and wall hander upon request for a small, additional cost.
