17" Wide Slab Of Fossil Starfish, Brittlestars & Corals

This is a large, 17 x 12.2" mortality plate representing the sea floor some 450 million years ago. It is covered with fossil brittle stars (Ophiura sp) and corals along with a large fossil starfish. A really fascinating association piece. The detail on the starfish which measures 4.2" wide is amazing. There are also a few crinoid stems in one corner of the piece.
