2.1" Tyrannosaur Limb Section - Montana

This is a 2.1" wide Tyrannosaur (Daspletosaurus) limb bone section from the Two Medicine Formation of Montana. This formation is approximately 70 million years old, or about 5 million years old than the Hell Creek Formation which produces T-Rex. The bone features a crystal formation that occurred within the center of the bone. That along with well defined bone cells can be viewed from either side of this limb section.

There are three described Tyrannosaurs from the Two Medicine Formation (Judith River Group), Albertosaurus, Gorgosaurus and Daspletosaurus.
