2.9" Jurassic Fossil Bivalve (Trigonia) - Germany

This is a beautifully inflated fossil bivalve (Trigonia sp.), collected from the Middle Jurassic (Dogger) deposits in Sengenthal, Germany. It is Late Jurassic, Bajocian Stage in age, or approximately 170 million years old. The rock has been meticulously prepped away to exposed the valve half.
