2.95" Polished Marine Fossil Sphere

This is a 2.95" wide sphere made of coral and bryozoan cross sections. The fossils come from a marine deposit and their white preservation contrasts nicely against the black rock. The specimen has been nicely polished to reveal these interesting fossils, which are visible around the entire sphere.

It comes with an acrylic ring display stand.

About Bryozoans

Bryozoans are microscopic aquatic invertebrates that live in colonies, forming skeletal structures similar to corals. Each skeletal structure has a form unique to each particular species. The individual byrozoans forming these colonies are filter feeders called zooids, straining nutrients from the surrounding water.
