20" Detailed Multiple Fossil Feather Plate - France

This is an incredible plate of fossilized feathers, collected from an Oligocene-aged deposit near Cereste in Southern France. The feathers exhibit outstanding detail and are preserved alongside a plant fossil. Good quality feather material is seldom found on the market, especially from France.

The plate measures 20" by 14.25" and the largest feather is 2.8" long. It is accompanied by a metal display stand and upon request we can install a backing and wall hanger hardware.

The plate was collected in multiple pieces, so while there's no restoration of the fossils, there are multiple repairs.
